Tahiti Transport

Getting around Tahiti is best done by motor coaches, which have replaced the colourful 'le truck' buses. These more modern buses form the public transport system in Tahiti. Once in Papeete, you can explore on foot as everything is close together.

If you wish to travel to other islands, Air Tahiti travels to islands within French Polynesia as well as numerous ferries and cruise ships that make regular trips to adjacent islands.
