V Australia

V Australia is Australia's newest premium international airline, launching flights between Sydney ad Los Angles in February 2009 with its second route taking off between Brisbane and Los Angeles less than six weeks later. In 2009 the airline introduced services between Brisbane and Phuket, followed soon after by direct flights from Melbourne to Phuket and Melbourne to Los Angeles as well as daily services between Sydney and Fiji. In March 2010, V Australia also added direct flights between Melbourne and Johannesburg, South Africa to its rapidly expanding network.

V Australia offers a high quality, innovative travel option introducing a fresh new choice and competition to the trans-Pacific route. The three class boutique style airline offers 33 Business Class lie-flat beds, 40 Premium Economy club seats and 288 economy seats. The suite of in-flight products includes two in-flight bars, a privacy suite option, a "ladies only" toilet complete with piped music and Australian icons featured on subtle wallpaper murals. All seats on the brand new 777-300ER aircraft offer personal state-of-the-art award winning seat back entertainment with user friendly touch screen options and seat to seat 'chat' or competition connectivity.

Velocity Rewards

Velocity Rewards is the frequent flyer program of Virgin Australia. It is free to join Velocity online by visiting the V Australia or Virgin Australia website and your points will never expire for active members. Velocity Rewards points can be used to purchase seats on any flight if there is a seat available, including Easter, Christmas, and school and public holidays!

Velocity Rewards began in November 2005 with the purpose of "easing frequent flyer frustrations and won their first industry award- Best Awards Redemption at the annual Freddies - soon after arriving on the scene. They are now a full rewards program with more than 2 million Members.

Points can be redeemed for flight, accommodation, car hire, shopping and, travel and entertainment.

Lounge Access

V Australia is pleased to offer lounge access to their International Business Class Guests and Velocity Gold Members. They will provide you with an exclusive Lounge invitation that entitles you and one other Guest entry to the Lounge facilities of their partner airlines on the day of travel prior to your V Australia flight departure.
